Gift Certificates
Gift Cards are redeemable for services and/or merchandise from Body Essentials Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Spa. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stole cards or for any unauthorized use. Not redeemable for cash. $2.00 monthly service fee after the first 6 months applies.
Scheduling
Advance scheduling is recommended, especially around holidays and special events, e.g. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure preferred time slots. Same day appointments are based upon availability.

If you need to return to the office or have an engagement after your service, please advise the staff.

Arrival
Please arrive early, at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Relax, enjoy our complimentary tea and snacks; avoid being rushed. Spa treatments commence on time. If you are late, you are losing YOUR time.

Gender Issues
Spa therapists are usually of both genders. If you have a preference for a male or female therapist, please indicate this at the time of booking. Please also bear in mind that therapists are licensed professionals operating under a prescribed code of conduct.

Privacy & Modesty
Spa therapists are sensitive to privacy issues. You will be directed what to do and be appropriately covered for body treatments. Disposable undergarments are provided.

Food
Should you eat before you arrive? Yes and no. Arrive satiated, but not stuffed.

Payment
Gift certificates/Gif Cards are redeemable at face value for services and gratuities where indicated, but not for cash. If you would like to have services other than as indicated on a gift certificate, please discuss it with the scheduling staff, and we will be happy to assist you. Personal checks are not accepted for payment.

Gratuities
Recommended gratuity on spa services is 20%

Health Issues
Be open about your personal condition so that the spa can help you plan accordingly. High blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid imbalances, heart problems, allergies, varicose veins, pregnancy, claustrophobia, and other conditions may be contra-indicated for some products and or heat treatments. Disclosure of any medical condition is paramount to your comfort and full enjoyment of the spa experience.

Do not be afraid to speak up if you experience any discomfort at all during treatments.

Other Needs
We provide most amenities (robes, sarongs, slippers, etc.). We do ask that you try to avoid unnecessary jewelry and heavy fragrances. We cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal items.

Please do not wax or shave before a Salt Glow treatment. Hair appointments are best scheduled after your spa experience.

A-la-carte
All "a-la-carte" services available at a 10 percent discount in series of six (6). Prices do not include tax or gratuity. All prices are subject to change.

Cancellation Policy
We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a single service and 48 hours for a package. Failure to cancel or show for an appointment will result in a full charge for the allotted time.

Groups & Special Events
Body Essentials Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Spa is for you and your guests. We welcome groups--birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, or just getting together. For groups of five or more, please ask for our Spa Manager.

Spa Boutique
Continue your spa experience at home. Our boutique offers an array of beauty and wellness products that are also great for gift giving. Products are also available by mail order. You may call us at 212 465-2220 and we'll be happy to assist you personally.
